ARE WE TRULY LEADERS OF TOMORROW OR LEADERS OF TODAY

*ARE WE TRULY LEADERS OF TOMORROW OR LEADERS OF TODAY* Its so disheartening if the youths/students of 21st century can not be rational, critical and analytical in nature but dogmatic. If I may ask, why should we serve as stooge at the detriment of our future and unborn generations? We are all clamouring to be an agent of change of our society and generation but is so sardonic that we are agent of evil change, I'm stand to be corrected. The old fools ruling this nations takes running the affairs of this country as thug of war by attaining power with all cost which we all say its shouldn't be as we  are to be more realistic, optimistic, reasonable and diplomatic to attain political post without do or die affairs as it was in early 60s till date but it other way round, what a pity... Unionism/Activism as express by various scholars should be an avenue to struggle for same goal with common just, but this philosophy has been deviated from whereby 21st century are seeking a

Unilag Management Finally Bow To Pressure To Reinstate Rusticated Students

Image
The management of the University of Lagos has reconsider it's decision on the rustication of the two students from the institution. It was gathered that one of the rusticated students, Lawrence Success is visually impaired. And this has enjoined public sympathy from both within and outside the nation. The two students are both graduate from the department of political science. The institution had given the reason behind the rustication for the contribution of the students to the peaceful protest held back in 2015 on the school campus while they where still students. Another source revealed that there might be more reasons for the unjust decision of the management being that Lawrence was the president of his department and Ochuba was his vice while on campus. And while Lawrence was crying out to the management to live up to its responsibilities, Ochuba was playing an active role of writing different articles on the failures of the school management as well. A similar case is the

Leadership crisis rocks Federal University Dutsinma By Habibu Umar Aminu, Katsina |

Leadership crisis is rocking the Federal  University Dutsinma, Katsina as the University's governing council under the leadership of Dr Marliya Zayyana and Vice Chancellor Professor Abdu Kaita are at loggerheads. Daily Trust learnt that both parties were accusing each other of undermining each other's authority at the university, a situation which is affecting the smooth running of the institution. Dr Zayyana, our reporter learnt, summoned a meeting where a decision to suspend the VC was taken, an action Professor Kaita said does not hold water, claiming that the members at the meeting were not duly elected by the University's congregation. Other sources say the council is accusing the VC of awarding contracts without due procurement procedures. In his swift reaction, Kaita said he wouldn't be intimidated by their action, insisti

*ALLIANCE OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS AGAINST NEOLIBERAL ATTACKS (ANSA)* *REINSTATE FUTO 6 NOW; THEY ARE ACTIVISTS, NOT CRIMINALS* The Alliance of Nigerian Students against Neoliberal Attacks (ANSA) condemns with utmost vehemence, the expulsion of six student activists of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). We consider as ruthless, despotic and unacceptable, the use of deplorable machinations of vindictive highhandedness to subvert legitimate demands of students of the institution, for the reversal of the undemocratic and arbitrary increment of fees. We forthwith, seize this medium to join the mass of students of the institution in calling for the immediate and unconditional reinstatement of the expelled activists and reversal of the increased school fees. We also demand the cancellation of all the illegal and arbitrary charges including the fraudulent course registration charges viz the dubious N10, 000 late registration fees.  It would be recalled that the students
